Castle Water was launched in 2014 with a vision to “create an independent water retailer providing an excellent water service at the best possible price”. They supply water and wastewater services to over 350,000 businesses across England & Scotland. Upon deregulation of the water market on 1^st April 2017 they became the water retailer for businesses in the Thames Water and Portsmouth Water regions. Castle Water acquired Cobolt Water, a Scottish-based water retailer in 2017, and then Invicta Water in 2018. In addition to this on 1st April 2020, Castle Water merged with Affinity for Business to expand further and acquired an additional 50,000 customers.

Castle Water pride themselves on their significant milestones which include but are not limited to:

-Castle Water was founded in 2014 alongside The Water Act 2014 being passed by parliament.

-Castle Water acquired business customers from Portsmouth Water and Thames Water in 2015 and 2016, respectively.

-The business water market opened in England in 2017.

-Castle Water have achieved various awards and certifications, including ISO 9001 and ISO 27001.

-Launched customer-focused initiatives like an online self-serve portal and ‘Customer in Control’ payment option.

These milestones have contributed to Castle Water becoming the UK’s largest independent water retailer.
